The City of Tifton, in partnership with the Downtown Development Authority and the Tifton Urban Redevelopment Agency, is leading a community-driven planning process to reimagine the Short & Paulk site as a new downtown destination that draws the greater Tifton community and supports economic vitality, connectivity, and long-term community benefit. To guide the redevelopment vision, the City has partnered with the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia, which specializes in participatory downtown planning processes that lead to lasting revitalization.

The City of Tifton also thanks Georgia’s Rural Center for its generous contribution to the planning process, helping support the full scope of this community-driven planning and design effort.
